Fitness enthusiast and reviewer from Paris

The Short Version

I'm Léo Martin, based in Paris, and for the last several years I’ve documented my experiences at gyms across France.

This site exists because I grew weary of selecting fitness centers based on ads and vague recommendations, only to discover the reality differed from expectations. I wanted precise, honest information about what these places were actually like. Since I couldn’t find it, I decided to create it.

More than a dozen Gyms Visited
A little over three Years Active
Over two hundred Classes Attended

How This Started

My training routine began at a modest club near 123 Champs-Elysees in Paris. It wasn’t flawless, but it was accessible, affordable, and it helped me build consistency.

After that place closed, I noticed how rapidly the fitness scene in France was evolving. New clubs opened, new concepts emerged, and marketing grew louder than the actual member experience.

I started trying different gyms and classes, taking notes after every visit. Over time those notes became this site, created to help others make clearer choices.

My Approach to Reviews

Every review on this site stems from real visits and real time spent inside the club. I focus on practical details that matter when choosing a membership.

When I review a fitness center, I typically:

  • Invest enough time to understand routines, peak hours, and patterns
  • Visit on different days and times
  • Try more than one training format and instructor
  • Use amenities regularly to judge cleanliness and comfort
  • Talk to other members about what is consistent and what is not
  • Write notes immediately after each visit

I update reviews when circumstances change significantly: renovations, management changes, pricing adjustments, or new facilities. Each article shows its last update date so you know how current the information is.

What I Look For

My priorities might differ from yours, so here is what matters most to me when evaluating a fitness center:

Comfort and Privacy: Does the space feel genuinely well-designed for members, with respectful boundaries and a calm atmosphere?

Equipment Quality: Are machines well-maintained? Is there enough variety? Do things get fixed promptly?

Crowd Management: Can you actually train during your preferred time without waiting constantly?

Clean Facilities: Locker rooms, showers, floors, and equipment surfaces. Cleanliness shows how seriously management treats the member experience.

Honest Membership Practices: Clear pricing, clear rules, and no unpleasant surprises.

Beyond the Gym

Outside of training and writing, I live and work in Paris. This project is here to make fitness choices easier and more transparent for people seeking the right environment.
